Masterclass Series
The Masterclass Series is a collaboration between the Racer Sessions, the University of Washington’s Improvised Music Project, and Cornish College of the Arts. The series will bring in a different longstanding band every month to perform and facilitate a discussion about their evolution as a group, artistic concept, approach, and vision. This is an open forum where attendees can ask questions and participate in an open discussion.
Where: Alternating between UW and Cornish College campuses (see calendar for details)
When: 7:30-9:00pm on the first Monday of every month

The first installment of the Masterclass series will take place at the Cafe Solstice in the U-District on Monday, October 5th and will feature local Table & Chairs band Bad Luck!
Improvisation is for Everyone!
Improvisation is for Everyone! is a workshop where you can learn the fundamental skills of instrumental improvisation. This class is facilitated by experienced improvisers, and is geared specifically for beginning improvisers, musicians, and non-musicians - anyone who is curious about improvisation. This will be a nurturing, and creative space for people of all ages, ability levels, and disciplines to collaborate and learn about collective improvisation. Use your newfound skills to participate in Racer Sessions!

When: 6:30-7:30pm on the third Sunday of every month
