Racer Session #291 | Marguerite Brown & Paul Moore | September 20, 2015

Marguerite Brown and Paul Matthew Moore will be improvising duets on harmonicas, strings, percussion, and electronics. The duets are mostly structured around simultaneous tempo change where either member may initiate at any time. We’re going to flow through many worlds. 

This is a sitting performance. We have chosen to play instruments that we don’t consider to be our “primary” instruments. This inspires a playful experimentation and a sense of wonder. 

In the open improvisations to follow you may choose to sit. You may choose to play an instrument that is not your primary instrument. You may attempt to do simultaneous group tempo changes. You may even choose to rotate through multiple instruments during the course of one session.

Improv 5: John Broback (guitar), Tai Taitano (drums), Travis Fisher (keyboard)

Improv 6: Levi Gillis (voice), Aaron Otheim (drums), Dio Jean-Baptiste (keyboard)
