Sunday's performance at the Racer Sessions will mark their first presentation at our series. Be sure to join us from 8-10pm this Sunday, November 13th at Cafe Racer. Read below for a statement from the artists themselves:
Calling all fringe psychonauts, avant-garde cognoscenti and fans of "energy music".
"Dialectical Imagination brings ecstatic music! Music radically embracing the paradoxes of the composition/improvisation continuum. For Dialectical Imagination, the full gamut of expression is in play from the cathartic to the hypersensitive, from the iconoclastic to the resplendent. Echoes can be heard of Olivier Messiaen, John and Alice Coltrane, Masahiko Togashi, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Igor Stravinski and Edward Vesala. For this performance, Dialectical Imagination will be joined by image projectionist Meghan McKearney-Inciardi. Meghan's wonderfully disorienting, kaleidoscopic imagery is a positive boon for the event. Her imagery will be responsively sculpted in real-time transforming our humble duo into a multimedia performance-art group. Wahoo! Let us happen some aesthetic ecstasy with you! No abstract cause or theory validates or qualifies what we do. Meet us unfettered, and enjoy a blissfully obliterating swoon of love!"
