This Sunday, drummer Sheridan Riley will present a piece "making a soundscape as a prelude to a performance by a Moroccan quartet." Below are a few words from Sheridan about the performance and creativity itself:

"The framework of an idea is quite often based in relative truth, immediate necessity, and instant gratification. Yet so often we are quick to maintain these notions with enduring gravitas. The adage, "It's not what you say, it's how you say it" has always troubled me.

"I find myself asking what of substance? " What of essence?

Tonight I thought it would be fun to poke around this concern."

Sheridan presented a soundscape piece followed by a Moroccan quartet featuring Aziz Marani (percussion), Khalid Tarzani (oud), 5-Track (guitar), and Patrick Lennon (drums).
