Greetings, Racers!

Tonight, the session is excited to welcome Christian Pincock's Tightrope back to the Racer stage. Christian, a friend and volunteer of the session, has just returned from a Tightrope tour around the western US, and we're happy to welcome him home.

Tightrope fearlessly walks between order and chaos, combining improvisation with composition in unusual ways. Christian (valve trombone and custom electronics) encompasses this energy with varying collaborators to perform daring musical feats with loose, groove-driven movements, ambient interludes, and routines of curiously-shifting harmonies using original material, jazz standards and more as supports for their highwire act. 

This edition of Tightrope will include Mike Gebhart, who is thoughtful and and intrinsic in both his playing and his personhood. Please join us at 8pm! See you tonight.
