Racer Session #503 | Sheridan Riley | Jan 12, 2020
Greetings, Racers!
This Sunday we’re ecstatic to present Seattle drummer Sheridan Riley!
Sheridan Riley started her career on the road in her final year of high school with the Sub Pop indie artist Avi Buffalo, with whom she toured relentlessly in between classes and writing sessions for two full-lengths. Now settled in Seattle, Riley has been diligently working on a solo album for her project Peg, along with recording and touring with the L.A.–based band Dante Elephante and Seattle’s Zen Mother.
For her Racer Session, Sheridan will be going solo: the performance will be loosely ruminating on the concepts of repetition and chance, and how they both shape our every day experiences - an attempt to create a sort of meditative and cathartic experience through how the drum patterns interplay with the soundscapes she’s made.
We hope you will come out for this great set! Sheridan will start things off at 8pm, and the evening will follow with our weekly open-improv jam session.
