No Session | March 15
Hey friends, we wanted to let you know that we will be postponing this Sunday's session with Jim Knodle - this was going to be a co-production with Seattle Improvised Music Festival, who have postponed the rest of their events into September. We will, however, be trial-running a digital gathering of anyone who wants to participate, and will share more details on that this week. We will be taking things week by week in partnership with Cafe Racer and local government.
The decision to not gather in-person tomorrow challenges us, but stems out of the idea that social distancing is a social responsibility, and Racer Sessions is a social gathering. What is known about this virus changes everyday, but previous instances of viral spread show us that social distancing help soften the curve of community spread, keeping the most vulnerable members of our community safe while decreasing the demand on regional health services. We are committed to continuing the Racer Sessions as a force for social change, creative expression, and community connection, and are excited to explore new ways to do this as we hold tight.
If you feel healthy and have the means, please continue to support Cafe Racer with your patronage of their bar, kitchen, gift cards, and community campaign. As always, you can donate anytime to Table & Chairs to support the sessions.
