Hey Racerheads!

This week we will be featuring Dio Jean-Baptiste, contributing a special, drumkit-augmented version of a beloved Steve Reich composition, "Come Out", as well as a video clip giving some historical context for the piece, written by Rami Stucky.

Following that, look for solo improvisations from Leanna Keith, Jim Knodle, and Michael Toman.

During the second hour, we'll open it up to a jam session like normal! Everyone is welcome to participate in the jam session, or you can just sit back and watch and listen.

We will also stream the session live via the Racer Sessions Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/racersessions/], so if you only wish to spectate, no need to log in to the Zoom meeting.

"Doors" will "open" at 3:45pm, meaning that's when you can join the Zoom meeting and start hanging out! At 4pm the music will begin, and we'll finish up at 6pm.

We as an organization stand in solidarity with the black community locally and nationally, and support the ongoing outcry against police brutality within non-white communities. With an acute awareness that our audience and community are majority not black, we recognize the responsibility we have to continue supporting the black community as proactive allies, and help our audience do the same.

If you are able, we encourage you to donate to Black Lives Matter - King County’s newly-established bail fund:

Venmo: @Jeff-Ramsey-18 (Jeff Ramsey is the owner of Cafe Racer)
