Racer Session #132 | Christian Pincock | August 19, 2012
In my last few days of visiting Seattle for now, I am excited to present to results of a collaboration with Racer Session musicians involving Soundpainting, the internationally practiced sign language for conducted improvisation and live composition. The language, which works with musicians and well as with artists of any discipline has been an ongoing movement for over 30 years and is practiced by performers and educators internationally. For this performance, I and saxophonist Ivan Arteaga will direct live compositions with the Soundpainting sign language. More info: Soundpainting.com // ChristianPincock.net

For the open session, I will give to the performers randomly chosen suggestions of conceptual areas to explore based on Soundpainting gestures.
