I love stories and I love music. More than both, I love life and people.
This last July, my life changed completely. In an effort to deal with it I started to write my memories down in a journal. I will tell these stories in an improvised fashion. The truth will be my structure, the moment my inspiration. In between the stories I will perform solo drum and voice pieces. For my last piece, I will play duo with Carmen Rothwell.
The stories and music go together and complete each other.
For the session: I want the improvisers to discuss and agree on an element from my performance and use that as a starting point or idea for an overall arc of their improvisation.
I’m very excited to perform for racer this sunday and want to thank everyone for this opportunity.
