Racer Session #511 | Christian Pincock | March 8, 2020
Greetings, Racers!
This Sunday we are pleased to be presenting trombonist Christian Pincock, a dear member of our Racer community, who will be presenting a solo set for valve trombone and modified organ foot pedals. Christian’s set will take place at 8pm, and will be followed by a freely-improvised jam session.
As we continue to monitor the current health crisis that is COVID-19, we are happy to be continuing on with the session as planned in partnership with Cafe Racer and will follow the safety recommendations of the CDC and the city of Seattle week by week. As always, our livestream is available if staying home is the choice you would prefer or need to make.
Some words from Christian below - we hope you’ll join us tonight at 8pm!

“The music of Bach continues to inspire me. This performance will take the work I've been doing with this music to another level: improvising with the material.
The set will be on trombone and organ pedals based on Bach Inventions and the Well Tempered Clavier. The musical ideas of the pieces will form the improvised connections between parts. Perhaps the improvisations will lead to new interpretations and developments of the works themselves.”
