Duet playing and instant composition
The idea behind this Racer session is to explore duet playing in a compositional way, using motivic elements (in a broad sense) to build pieces. Exercising intent while being open to the interplay that is happening, a sort of dance between intent and openness. I’d like to urge the musicians playing the rest of the night to approach their improvisations in the same way.
